Once-daily TRELEGY is a prescription medicine used long term to treat COPD, including chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both and to treat asthma in adults. TRELEGY 100/62.5/25 mcg is the only strength approved for COPD. TRELEGY is not used to relieve sudden breathing problems and won’t replace a rescue inhaler.TRELEGY should not be used in children younger than 18 years of age. It is not known if TRELEGY is safe and effective in children younger than 18 years of age.

INTRODUCTION

Trelegy Elliptar Inhaler is used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder which is a  a lung disorder in which the flow of air to the lung is blocked. It provides relief from asthma symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness.

This medicine is for inhalation purposes only. Thus, it should not be taken by mouth. It is important to follow all the guidelines of the doctor before using it. Before using the medicine, the doctor will guide you on how to use this medicine. Use it in the dose and duration advised by the doctor.

Common cold is the most common side effect of this medicine. You may also experience side effects like fungal infection of the mouth, infection of the nose, blocked nose, cough, and headache. If any of these side effects persist or get worse, you should let your doctor know.

Do not use this medicine without consulting the doctor if you have any problems related to heart, liver, or if you have glaucoma, tuberculosis (TB), asthma, and enlarged prostate.

HOW TO USE TRELEGY ELLIPTA INHALER

Check the label for directions before use. Shake the inhaler. While you are breathing in from mouth, press down on the inhaler one time to release the medication and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as suggested by the doctor. Afterwards, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE TRELEGY ELLIPTA INHALER?

If you miss a dose of Trelegy Ellipta Powder For Inhalation, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
